Do you know what WWW means? Windows Won't Work!!!
In c:\msdos.sys [text file] in the "[Options]" section you can add "Logo=0" to avoid DOS7.0 show you that stupid image.
If you have a file called \logo.sys [bitmap, dx=320, dy=400, colours=256, size=127k] and you do not have "logo=0" in msdos.sys, your bitmap will be displayed.
At the same place you may add:
BootMulti=1; if you still have DOS<=6.22, there will be a new
option:
Add BootWarn=1 and you'll go into Safe Mode.
Al least in OSR2 [as far as I know] setting in the "[Options]" section in \msdos.sys the option LoadTop=1 will load your %COMSPEC% at the top of the DOS cnventional memory.
For the same release, at the same place you may add BootKeys=0 to ensure that no Dummy from your family/acquaintances will press F8 to do whatever he/she wants with your WinDoze9x...
If you do not want to boot directly to the marvelous '95 grphic intrfce then add to [Options] sections in \msdos.sys the option BootGUI=0
DOS7.0 does the following things when loading:
[Suppose you choose (or have as default) in the boot menu the option 'Normal']
command.com attempts to launch an application called 'WIN' from the 'winbootdir' location from msdos.sys; you can convince yourself of that by searching the above string in %winbootdir%\command\command.com
[the clue is that you can replace (with a hexal editor!!) this with whatever you like (3 chars!) and you provide a file called as you baptized it in command.com [must be a COM file]; this program will be launched the next time you reboot instead of win.com.]
BUG: Try to play PreHistorik2 under w95 and you'll
see what I mean
("blue screens" and then a wonderful machine crash).
UNDOCUMENTED FEATURE
Add to system.ini, after the line PagingDrive=C the following
stuff: PagingFile=\586spart.par -- this will be the name of the new
Gindoze swapping file.
(In particular this is useful when you have 2 different
versions of Gindoze 3.1[?])
You may control the size of the Gin '95 cache by adding to system.ini at the section [vcache] (if not present, then create it) the following two lines
MinFileCache=0
MaxFileCache=4000
BUG: If you launch w95 with the machine in graphic mode, as in the
following example:
@echo offthen all the virtual machines created when running a "DOS-based applicatin", they will have a strange text mode detected by NC as 'EGA' (of course you can reset this state when in full-screen).

Want to get rid of the small arrows on the shortcuts? Delete from the '95 registry (i.e. using regedit) from HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Inkfile the record IsShortcut.
Want to get rid of the nasty zooming windows? Add to
the new key MinAnimate
and set it to zero.
Quick menus: add to KEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\desktop\MenuShowDelay, if not present, and/or set it to a certain value (1000 means one second).
